Despite the ongoing challenges of COVID-19 for the Worcester Fire Department and the greater community of Worcester, the department continued to spread positivity through community involvement with the Worcester Railers Hocket Club. The two groups participated in the Teddy Bear Toss Drive which donations of teddy bears and stuffed animals are collected by Mass Mutual Center to be donated. As mentioned in the attached article "the teddy bears & stuffed animals will then be properly sanitized and donated to local charities to spread cheer during the holiday season. Past recipients of bears have included Square One, The Ronald McDonald House, Baystate Children's Hospital, and more" |
